A Jewish wedding is not complete without the Hora, or chair dance.
In this tradition, a few strong and brave guests hoist the bride and groom high above the crowd on chairs to the infectious music of “Hava Nagila”.
Friends and family dance around in a circle as the elevated couple tries not to fall off.
The gladdening of the bride, in which guests dance around the bride, and can include the use of “shtick”—silly items such as signs, banners, costumes, confetti, and jump ropes made of table napkins
