From the moment I wake up until the time I go to bed, I am full of creativity.
I am a progressive photographer and I am always looking at ways to improve my skills and the quality of my work.
One of the questions I get asked is “does a more expensive camera and lens make a difference?” In a word – YES!
The winning combination is a talented photographer with best cameras and lenses. So that’s why I recently purchased a Hasselblad X1D 11 50C (arguably one of the best digital cameras money can buy). I had planned to use this on weddings this year, but the world had other plans. During the past 10 weeks, we have been blessed with some great weather. The other day, admiring flowers in my garden and how they were beautifully backlit by the sun, the Hasselblad came out and I captured this wonderful image that shows off the camera and is somewhat reminiscent of a bride’s bouquet.
I am missing my wedding photography. However, spending my days improving my skills so that I can create emotive wedding images for my clients, is time well spent during this lockdown period.
