Is it Worth Opting for Professional Wedding Photography?
Marriages are always associated with fun, frolic, memories and huge expenditure. A few of us might feel that avoiding professional wedding photography is one of the cost cutting measures that can help in bringing down the expenses at a marriage. But, in reality, that is not so. Having a relative or a friend capture the events of this special occasion is very much possible. But the differences and the memories that professional wedding photography would offer is something unique and unforgettable.
Pros of Professional Wedding Photography
Having a professional photographer capture the events at the nuptial would not only help in getting the occurrences of that special day etched in your minds throughout your life but would also be helpful in getting rid of the worries that you might have regarding capturing photos at your wedding.
Telling a professional photographer about your needs, likes and demanding what you want at your wedding is relatively easy than telling a friend about such details. Mixing business and friendship would complicate everything and can make you feel uncomfortable throughout. Professional photographers, being adepts in the field of professional wedding photography can get the events captured perfectly as per your tastes and needs. The skill and the artistic sense that they possess can never match that of a friend or a relative who is a novice in this arena. The knowledge and experience that they have on the qualified wedding photography techniques are incomparable and unmatchable. Professional photographers would be better equipped with the accessories that are needed for professional wedding photography. You cannot expect a friend or a relative to make use of state of the art digital cameras to capture the events of this special day.
Cons of Professional Wedding Photography
Hiring a professional photographer and opting for professional wedding photography can be expensive.
Finding adepts in the field of professional wedding photography is practically tough and challenging. Finding an adept whose tastes and wavelength matches with that of yours is even tougher.
Muslim Wedding Ceremony Nikam
14th February, Valentine’s Day is a wonderful day to have a wedding. I was very honoured to be asked to photograph the Nikam ceremony at a Muslim wedding. Although I have only photographed 10 Muslim weddings, I always feel it’s a special honour to be commissioned to photograph such a special occasion. I was particularly humbled by the fact that the bride and groom, after wading through many photographers’ images, chose me to photograph this wedding on the strength of my wedding photography. The bride and groom were looking for something other than traditional photographs and liked my natural approach with no forced poses and set-up shots.
The ceremony started at 6.00pm and finished at 10.00pm. I was overwhelmed by the colours and the vibrancy of the dresses. The bride and groom received their images 48 hours after the event and after they had viewed them, they contacted me to say how pleased they were and to quote them “the images were brilliant and we are very pleased with how discreet and unobtrusive you were”.
The Old Swan Hotel Harrogate North Yorkshire Wedding Venue
I have been recommended as a wedding photographer by the Old Swan Hotel, Harrogate, for over 10 years. With over 100 weddings completed at the Old Swan Hotel, I feel I know this venue intimately. If you look on their website, you will find many of my images which they use. I have a fantastic relationship with the hotel staff, having photographed two of the weddings and event team members’ personal weddings. I have also had the pleasure of photographing the staff for their website.
The Old Swan Hotel has wonderful grounds and also has the facility for outside weddings. One of my favourite rooms is The Garden Room which has lots of windows so I can capture some wonderful natural light during the daytime. It also has a magnificent dance floor and an elevated stage.
The Old Swan has one of my wedding albums on show for you perusal. If you are considering booking The Old Swan Hotel for your special day, then I can show you many wedding albums which will give you an idea of how your wedding will look.
The Crown Hotel, Harrogate – Wedding Venue
For the past 5 years, I am very proud to have been selected as one of the recommended wedding photographers for the Crown Hotel in Harrogate, North Yorkshire. It’s also a testament to my work that the Crown Hotel uses my wedding photographs on their website. I feel that I know the Crown Hotel intimately and this was the wedding venue that I chose for my own daughter’s wedding.
The Valley Gardens is only a very short walk from the hotel and it’s a beautiful location to take those romantic and special photographs of the bride and groom, maybe stopping off on the way back, to capture one or two shots on the cobbled road between the Crown and the Pump Room.
If you are thinking about having your wedding at the Crown Hotel, maybe you could ask them to show you a couple of my albums which the wedding coordinator has been given by me. Better still, make an appointment to come and see me.
I look forward to hearing from you.
